Greg Christensen and his wife Sharman chose to establish their roots into the Kearns community with the purchase of their first and only home in 1978. Since that time, they have been heavily invested in the community. They have raised their eight children in the local school system and have given of themselves to build the neighborhood and community that they have grown to care for.

Greg was involved in the Kearns Community Council for a short time and still has ties to that organization. His involvement helped provide valuable input and guidance that the Community Council used to shape many of the community’s current traditions, events, and legacy that the 2002 Winter Olympics brought to the Kearns Community.

Since 2012 Greg has served as an elected member of the Kearns Improvement District (KID) Board of Trustees. As a Trustee, Greg’s background in engineering and security has helped in overseeing the construction of $57,000,000.00 of capital improvements and infrastructure, guiding the community’s effort to be the leaders in the water conservation effort, and in helping the Kearns Improvement District to become one of the preeminent Districts in the State of Utah.

As part of Greg’s service to KID, he was appointed by the Governor of the State of Utah to serve eight (8) years as a Board of Trustee for the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District. In 2021 Greg was recognized by the Utah Association of Special Districts and received the Distinguished Board Member Award.
