Rates & Fees

2024 Water and Sewer Service Fees and Rates (Rates are updated annually)

Water Rates: 

Our water rates are conservation-based, which means the more water you use the more you will be charged per 1,000 gallons. You will be charged $2.62 per 1,000 gallons for the first 10,000 gallons of water and $3.29 per 1,000 gallons for the next 15,000 gallons and so forth as follows: 

Residential Water Rates:

  • 25,001 to 45,000 gallons $4.47/1,000
  • over 45,000 gallons $6.39/1,000 

 

Basic Service Fee helps cover the cost of repair and maintenance of infrastructure:  $10.82/month. If your service is commercial or industrial, please call us for rate.

Special Water Fee helps to develop water for use in the District:  $2.25/month 

  • Commercial Rate:                                 $3.08/1,000 gals
  • Industrial Rate:                                      $2.79/1,000 gals

Basic Service and Special Water Fees for Commercial, Industrial, and certain Irrigation customers are charged according to meter size.  Please call our office for the amounts.

 

Irrigation Rate*:                                     $3.08/1,000 gals

*Irrigation rate is for customers with a separate irrigation meter.  Irrigation rate will be reduced by $.03/1,000 gals. if a KID approved "smart" irrigation controller is installed and utilized.

 

Multi Family Rate:  (Fewer than 8 units per acre)                              

  • 20,000 gallons or less $3.15/1,000
  • 20,001 to 40,000 gallons $4.07/1,000
  • over 40,001 gallons $5.95/1,000 

Multi Family Rate:  (More than 8 units per acre)                              

  • 10,000 gallons or less $3.15/1,000
  • 10,001 to 20,000 gallons $4.07/1,000
  • over 20,001 gallons $5.95/1,000 

 

Sewer Rates

Residential 

$29.09 per month plus $1.36 per 1,000 gallons of customer's average previous winter's water use.  New customers will be billed at $36.27 per month which is based on 7,000 gallons of water use.

 

Commercial & Industrial:

$14.18 per month plus $3.32/1,000 gals. flow charge.

Central Valley Fee:

$9.00 per equivalent residential unit (ERU) per month.

Equal Pay Enrollment

We offer equal payments to our customers who prefer to have a set payment amount every month throughout the year. We offer open enrollment for this program annually after your January bill. In order to be eligible for our equal payment plan you have to have lived in your house for one full year and your bill must be current. You may bring it current when signing up for the plan if needed. Once your year is up and if you are interested in equal pay, all you need to do is meet the above requirements and either call our office at 801-968-1011 ext. 1 or email customerservice@KIDwater4UT.gov after your January statement.
